More about HUSKY wall decor...

HUSKY wall decoration by Stalen Design is a round corten steel wall decoration for outdoors, also known as wall art, facade decoration, wall ornament, garden decoration, and outdoor art. The image of the husky/dog creates a powerful and modern look on an exterior wall, fence, garden wall, or facade.

The wall decoration is made of 2 mm thick corten steel and has a diameter of 450 mm. Outdoors, corten steel forms a natural rust patina that protects the material against weather conditions. This gives the wall panel a warm, robust appearance that fits well with greenery, wood, stone, and other natural materials.

Wall decoration HUSKY is mounted away from the wall using spacers and attached with corten steel-look screws. This allows the decoration to hang slightly off the wall, creating depth, shadows, and a sleek, finished effect.

CORTEN STEEL

About Corten steel

Corten steel is a high-quality metal alloy consisting of iron enriched with copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. It is known for its distinctive rust-brown color and natural industrial aesthetic.

What makes Corten steel unique is the dense oxide film (rust layer) that forms on the surface. This layer protects the underlying material from oxygen, which significantly slows down the rusting process and allows the metal to last for years — without rusting through.

Important to know

Corten steel is supplied as standard in its original, grey metallic state (unrusted).
Minor imperfections in the corten steel (such as scratches/steel production codes) will become invisible during the rusting process.
Within approximately 1 to 2 months, a rust-coloured patina layer will form — completely natural, without any additional treatment.
During the rusting process, the material may stain surfaces or surrounding elements.
Corten steel is suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions and does not require a coating.

Maintenance tips

Let the rusting process take its course. Do not use any chemical agents or oils.
Prevent moisture stains during storage: unpack the material immediately upon receipt.
Avoid standing water on horizontal surfaces to limit staining.
Clean only with water and a soft brush if desired — do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
When mounting on sensitive surfaces: consider a spacer or edge finish to prevent rust runoff.
